Interactive work rarely emerges out of the efforts of just one person. Over the years I have worked with a number of amazing and award winning designers, developers and producers that help me every day in doing the work that I do.

  • Kelli Anderson

    Art Director

    Kelli Anderson is an artist/designer and tinkerer who is always experimenting with new means of making images and experiences. She draws, photographs, cuts, prints, codes, and creates a variety of designed things for herself and others.

    From interactive paper to layered, experimental websites, everything begins and ends in her studio which houses a 1919 letterpress and an assortment of other benevolent contraptions. Kelli's designs have one a number of industry awards and accolades including the Ars Electronica Prix. Kelli has a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from University of Louisiana, an M.F.A. in Fine Arts from the Pratt Institute and an M.S. in Theory, Criticism and History of Art, Design and Architecture from the Pratt Institute. She also teaches art history at Pratt every summer and works part time in Special Collections at AMNH.

  • Jeremy Brown

    Interactive Developer

    Jeremy Brown is a computer programmer and user experience designer with over six years of experience writing and designing software for the web, museum exhibits, mobile devices and the desktop. His contributions to projects such as the Library of Congress New Visitors Experience and National Library of Medicine have won multiple awards and accolades. Jeremy is constantly pursuing new fields of computer science and is an active member of various online communities.

  • Erica Dillon

    Interactive Producer

    Since 2007, Erica has been producing award-winning interactive media projects, managing large production teams and bringing a holistic vision to each project. She specializes in marrying content strategy to user experience design, conceptualizing and planning content development with a keen editorial eye, affinity for information architecture, and dedication to usability. An experienced writer and editor, she also ensures the integration of brand strategy across content production and design. In addition to recent work with Adobe Professional Services and regional non-profit organizations, she has collaborated on projects for the GRAMMY museum, the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame, the Library of Congress, the National Library of Medicine, the National Gallery of Art, and the MacArthur Foundation. She received her BA in Modern Culture and Media, magna cum laude, from Brown University, and an MA in English Literature from Stanford University.

  • Erica Hassinger

    Art Director

    Erica is Principal and Art Director of Scout & Co., an interdisciplinary design studio in Portland, Oregon. Providing surefooted graphic design and art direction, Scout specializes in bespoke branding and interactive experiences for culture and lifestyle clients. Whether it's leading the charge or collaborating with inspiring partners, the goal is to create smart compelling solutions and meaningful connections. Erica's work has appeared in Communication Arts, AIGA 365, Print, HOW, and several publications exhibiting design projects.

  • Kevin Karwaski

    IT Integration Specialist

    With 8 years experience in a wide range of technologies, Kevin brings a variety of skills to any team he works with. He holds a BS in Management and Computer Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has built scalable and sustainable IT solutions for higher education, creative consultancies and small business start-ups.

    He is fascinated by the overlap of web development and systems administration (aka. DevOps) and is a relentless cloud computing evangelist. His most recent projects include allocating and configuring cloud resources for deploying modern "Web 2.0" applications and providing technical support to web application development teams.

  • Jeff LeBlanc

    Technical Producer

    Jeff LeBlanc is a designer and developer working on interactive tools and environments for museum, institutional and corporate clients. Jeff studied mathematics and architecture at MIT, working in experimental fluid dynamics research and traveled to China to teach science to high school students. Jeff has a graduate degree from NYU's ITP studying interactive telecommunications and smart sensor networks. At ITP Jeff did his thesis on household energy consumption, designing a monitoring system, which became the basis for the smart grid firm Grounded Power. Jeff was also an ITP Resident Researcher after graduating, mentoring students in electronics and researching how sensor networks could help sustainability initiatives. Professionally Jeff has worked in financial consulting at Cambridge Associates in Boston, developing quantitative models focusing on analyzing financial portfolio composition and risk, and in interactive design at Potion Design where he was a Technical Producer, in charge of developing and implementing the technical framework for interactive exhibits and environments for a wide range of museum and corporate clients including the Smithsonian, HP and Bell Labs.

  • Armando Manalo

    Interactive Media Strategist

    Armando is a digital community engagement strategist and content producer, working primarily with social, cultural, and public sector organizations on storytelling and education. An adept researcher and documentarian, he has developed stories for the PBS program History Detectives, written scripts for interactive kiosks at the California Academy of Science, and created web videos for a variety of non-profit clients. Formerly an assistant director for Oregon Public Broadcasting, he designed and developed, in partnership with external organizations, large-scale mission-driven multimedia initiatives. Over the course of two years, Armando led project teams that have garnered over $6 million in grants from federal, state, and foundation sources for media and capital projects. Armando is also a freelance print editor and French-English translator of essays and criticism in the arts and humanities. He received his BA in Modern Culture and Media with Honors from Brown University, and an MA in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley.

  • Oliver McGinnis

    Interactive Developer

    Oliver McGinnis realizes conceptual design through pragmatic and creative coding. Oliver is a specialist in Flash programming, well versed in graphics programming and application architecture, but also innovates with new and experimental technology. Leveraging his background in art and design, he works closely with the design team to build effective and memorable interactive experiences. Previously Oliver worked as a Senior Interactive Developer at Second Story Interactive Studios where his projects won numerous industry awards and accolades. Oliver holds a BS in Finance from the University of Vermont and a BS in Multimedia and Graphic Design from Champlain College.
