Overview
Kieran Lynn is a graphic designer, a user experience designer, an information architect, a developer, communicator, amateur map maker…a new idea of what he wants to do and where he wants to go every week.
He employs a process rich interactive development strategy that involves heavy conceptual design, high-level documentation, user experience design, information architecture, visual design and full development. As a seasoned developer with over ten-years of experience he brings a deep understanding of interactive software development both on and off of the web, front and back-end. As a trained designer he bring a keen eye for high-quality visual design and typography that lives in harmony with highly functional and well considered design solutions.
Our focus is on the fusion between graphic design, interaction design, content, and technology working to develop considered information design solutions, with high-quality visual design, functional and expressive user-experience design, and highly structured development strategies. All this with the goal of creating beautiful and enchanting experiences for people to enjoy and learn from.

Octothorp Studio
Principal and Creative Director, January 2006—Present
Octothorp Studio is a design and development studio focusing on the production of interactive platforms for communication and storytelling. We utilize software as a tool to shape the user experience within complex systems and content. These systems take the form of websites, mobile applications, kiosks and interactive experiences. As principal and creative director I am responsible for all aspects of project development, from client relations and project management to creative, user experience and technical direction. In addition I provide user-experience and interface design as well as full interactive development.

Senior Designer in the Media Design and Technology Group, March 2010—July 2010
As a Senior Designer in the Media Design and Technology Group, I was responsible for working with and guiding the interaction designers in my department in the development of the their work. I worked closely with my team to help shape the user-experience and interaction design process within the department and ensure tight integration with the physical environments we were designing and production ready documentation for our media producers.

Second Story Interactive Studios
Lead Interaction Designer, June 2006—December 2009
As a Lead Interaction Designer I had a high-level of involvement and ownership over the whole project design and development process. From concept development, to user experience design and wire framing, to visual design and production, I worked with my project team to realize individual, project, studio and client goals while managing the day-to-day development and interaction with developers, junior designers, production artists, and producers working on the project.
